Confirmed from The Jim Reed Walking & Jogging Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about The Jim Reed Walking & Jogging Trail

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (72 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏃 great for running 2 mentions

“Great trail to walk and run.”

🌳 shaded & cool 4 mentions

“My only issue is that there is virtually no shade at all on the trail.”

This is an easy peasy walking/jogging trail in the Medical Center area with no incline, and a mixture of paved and gravel trails (the gravel is not rough gravel). There’s also outdoor workout stations along the trail (see photos). The trail is a loop and you can get a quick 2.2 miles here.

Nice private/public park complete with crushed rock walking trail. The trail eventually converges with a path that leads into the medical area. Three manual stretching stations are found around the walking trail which is approximately 1 mile(ish).

Well, this trail is good for only Walker and Runner, only not recommended for kids because of dirt trails

★★★★★ — Parshuram , Apr 2024

Good trail. It's been raining for a couple days now and the trail is clear and dry (except for one *small* area of mud that was easy to get around). My only issue is that there is virtually no shade at all on the trail. So, if you need a break from running/jogging, it's gonna be in full sun.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
