Confirmed from The Trails at Mill Pond.'s own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about The Trails at Mill Pond.
This has been such a fun project to work on. The citizen-volunteer trail stewards have done such a phenomenal job for the Marshall County Park & Recreation Department, on behalf of the public. Very grateful! (Disclaimer: I'm a MCPRD board member)
Finally had a chance to check out this local Marshall County hidden gem! HUGE wooded area with marked walking and biking trails that feels like it goes on forever. We went in one way and came back out a completely different way but very cool adventure and can’t wait to come back!!
The Trail Fairies have done a remarkable job with this first loop! I rode 2 laps and got a real fun workout.
Learned about these trails from a co-worker and finally had the time to check it out, lots of cool bike trails and hiking paths, it goes for miles, trails are marked and there is lots to see! The pond would be great for fishing, don’t forget a camera and bug spray!

The practical stuff
- AccessHours vary — hours are not posted for this trail, so check before an early or late run
- SurfaceNatural surface — easiest on the joints and the most fun, but expect roots, rocks and mud after rain
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
