Confirmed from Rum Village Mountain Bike Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Rum Village Mountain Bike Trail

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (113 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

This is the really well laid out trail for Indiana. In a compact area, this is an impressive trail system. you’re in single track through woods with roots and quick steep climbs make it technical along with some short downhill drops that flow into turns. Great track!

★★★★★ — Tim , Jun 2020

Awesome ride who ever built this trail must have worked on a resort trail crew in Colorado. Berms in the right spots, roots left as kind of a rock garden, and good flow . If only the was more DH but he'll it's Indiana and better than anything I have ridden in Indiana.

★★★★★ — Justin , Jun 2018

This place is awesome. Just moved from CA and was itching to get some MB'n in and this was a good test. Wish it had more jumps and drops on the difficult trail but this was better than nothing. :+) There are a few sand spots so be careful!

★★★★☆ — Matthew , Aug 2019

I always come here to run do calisthenics and parkour training. And after u can even have a cookout and bring ur kids to play in the slides and stuff. Its big and fun. I still play at the jungle gym.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
