What runners say about Thrive Nature Park
Good place to take a walk in the woods. Fairly small but across from Memorial Park, so it’s possible to take a longer walk. Dense thicket with grassy open areas and large field of wildflowers. The bird blind is interesting. Unfortunately the planes flying over every few minutes make hearing birds difficult.
Gorgeous little getaway in the city, lots of parking at thrive, the park is filled with native insects and plants. We even saw lichens which is such a great sign of a healthy ecosystem. Little benches are scattered around the trails. Definitely grab your binoculars and a bird sound identifying app.
It feels like walking in the nature. The trail could be bit longer and paved.
