Confirmed from Timber Ridge Forest Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Protected natural area with 2 miles of trails, a picnic area & an 1890s living history farm.
What runners say about Timber Ridge Forest Preserve
“I love running, and this is a great trail for runners.”
“Love this place, so peaceful and quiet.”
Its nice for exercising- walking, running, biking but will be boring for a slow stroll. I love running, and this is a great trail for runners.
Nice walking preserve with a farm. But the farm has limited timings so check before you go. Trails are next to the street so it can be noisy. Decent parking. Closes at sunset.
The best thing about this 1,149 acre forest preserve is the vast areas of land with no paths at all.
Huge Forest Preserve with multiple sections but not a lot of trails. However, it's a great preserve for a quick walk. Like all DuPage County Forest Preserves, the gravel trails are in pristine condition.
