We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Titlow Beach yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Titlow Beach

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (54 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 11 mentions

“There is a beautiful view of the ocean, train tracks, and of course the park for the children.”

One of my favorite places! It's within walking distance of my home, & has some wonderful scenery. Nice walking/jogging trails & forest areas where you can commune with nature...

★★★★☆ — Elijah , Apr 2022

It's beautiful to walk the beach, sit and relax, or have dogs off leash.

★★★★★ — Robert , May 2022

What a magnificent place to explore and enjoy the water in Puget Sound. Of all the years I've lived in and around Tacoma, I had never visited Titlow Beach and park. It was refreshing to see young families enjoying the waterpark and waterfront. The wooded trails kept us cool while we were exploring the area.

★★★★★ — Teresa , Aug 2023

Titlow Park is beautiful and amazing with a great playground area and spray park for kids. Very nice walking trail. The beach area has gorgeous views of the Sound and Narrows Bridge. It would be nice if the city of Tacoma would have cleaned up the old parking lot area near the beach. That part just looks abandoned.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

“Just make sure if you bring your dog, you take into consideration the harshness of pavement and the barnacles they would inevitably have to walk on at the beach.”
