Confirmed from Tom & Jane Dustin, Robert and Rosella C. Johnson, Whitehurst Nature Preserves' own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Tom & Jane Dustin, Robert and Rosella C. Johnson, Whitehurst Nature Preserves
“Beautiful trails, one far easier and more accessible to everyone and another that's a bit more difficult.”
Park here at this pin/barn to access the trails from dawn to dusk which are free to use. This trailhead has access to everything here which includes the Tom & Jane Dustin Nature Preserve, Acres Headquarters(Monday-Friday 9:00-4:00), and the Robert C. and Rosella C. Johnson Nature Preserve.
A beautiful park. Hike along a cliff near the large creek/river, stroll through forest and fields, read about flora, and spot deer tracks and birds. This is a short hike, but lovely.
Beautiful trails, one far easier and more accessible to everyone and another that's a bit more difficult. My dog and I enjoyed both and loved seeing some deer, a fox and other wildlife. Definitely recommend giving this lovely area a chance
HQ for ACRES. Trails well kept and they do a pretty good job keeping invasive plants at bay. If I had one suggestion, to cut some trees down on the Savannah. Not too long it’ll become woods and that area is unique to some birds that only nest there in the county.

“But I believe that access gate is only open Monday-Friday from 9-4pm, otherwise this property is not handicap accessible at the barn parking lot.”
