Confirmed from Traverse des Sioux Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Traverse des Sioux Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (45 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 3 mentions

“Explored the sand bar along the Minnesota river and took in the serenity of Nature at it's finest on a beautiful afternoon.”

🌾 quiet & peaceful 3 mentions

“Tranquil, peaceful and mind cleansing”

We enjoyed a leisurly 2.5 mile walk through the plains and forested areas on well kept paths. Explored the sand bar along the Minnesota river and took in the serenity of Nature at it's finest on a beautiful afternoon.

A wonderful place to ride my fat bike Longest trail in area. Runs along river lots of wild life.

★★★★★ — Louie , Feb 2018

Walked about 5 miles along the A, D, and E trails. Very flat and easy. Lots of road noise to start but goes away once you're near the river. Kind of eerie in the winter when there's no sign of life besides a crow or two. Did see a few white tail running through also.

It has been really muddy and wet there when I was going there. I really didn't like to walk around in the mud

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
