This is a large park, over 600 acres and has miles of wooded hiking trails as well as equestrian trails. Shelters, grills, volleyball courts are first come first serve. Ample room to throw frisbee, baseball, etc.
One of my absolute favorites in the Mankato area. There are 10 different trails to walk of varying difficulty so depending on how you're feeling, you can pick an easier or more difficult one. Tons of different wildlife to see, and ample fishing along the creek during the wetter seasons.
Beautiful park. Trails for walking or horse riding. Lots of room to have a cook out with your friends and family. If you like hiking or just a simple walk, you will like the trails and the overall scenery. The trails not simply flat, there is change in the elevation.
Absolutely GORGEOUS park!! The trails, bridges, landscape and rock formations are incredible. My daughter wanted one of her senior picture sessions there, and the park was beautiful and perfect for that.
