Confirmed from Trolley Bed Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Trolley Bed Preserve

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (41 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

This is my absolute favorite walk in the area–and one of my favorite places overall! The long, straight primary trail is flat, so it doesn't take much muscle. It's flanked by bubbling brooks and rivers. It's around 1 mile end-to-end. Halfway through, there's a lovely pond with ducks and beavers and so many birds.

Lovely trail maintained by the Eagle Scouts... wish the side paths were marked, but it is a nice ramble in beauteous woods and there is a sharing library at the start. Very peaceful...

I have walked this trail many times once you start hitting the rocky area is quite tough on your feet and if you venture all the way to the end it's quite difficult as there are deep ridges all the way down and you have to walk kind of sideways on these side slopes...

This is an old trolly bed that has been turned into a wonderful trail. Lots of trees, along with a flowing river and lake awaits the visitors. The route is ideal for off-road biking.❤️ I walk with my dog Coco along the trail and enjoy the near 4 mile route. Best Wishes, Mehdi ... PEACE and GOD BLESS 🙏

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
