Confirmed from Hidden Pond Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Woods walk, pond and deer-spotting area also featuring two disc golf courses of varying difficulty for all levels of player, as well as bench seating.
What runners say about Hidden Pond Park
“Easy trail loop around the pond and is always beautiful, would recommend for anyone visiting Southbury for the first time.”
Not really anything to do here except walk along the little Trail around the pond. It's a single file Trail so make sure you wear some hiking boots or shoes with a tough soul. There is about 100ft of pondfront with a couple benches where you can sit and enjoy.
Hidden Pond has been a Southbury staple since I was in high school. Easy trail loop around the pond and is always beautiful, would recommend for anyone visiting Southbury for the first time.
Great little wooded walk around a lake, quick easy and relaxing. Usually fairly empty. Also has a disc golf course if you're into that.
I go here to run or bike all the time. It's a small park, but with the new disc golf course, there are actually a lot of trails.
Trail conditions & character
“Great park, not a ton for small children unless you bring a pole, nice place to hike, easy terrain and usually not busy”

The practical stuff
- AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
