Confirmed from Troy Meadows Nature Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🌾 quiet & peaceful 4 mentions

“Peaceful and pretty quiet, though you can hear the nearby highway.”

Muddy, poorly marked or maintained trails to nowhere. Will come again with good boots. **But - rich with wildlife! great birding, the awesome sound of echoing pileated woodpeckers all over and amazingly, coywolves!

Peaceful and pretty quiet, though you can hear the nearby highway. I never see anybody else here. The boardwalk is missing a section. Hope they put it back.

★★★★☆ — Philipp , Oct 2019

Quiet, no one there. No marked trails. One "trail" at end of road in if you go to area where it says no motor vehicles, park, and then walk straight and then off to the right. Trail goes into the wetlands, some small foot bridges. Trail doesnt really go anywhere, but it is peaceful.

★★★★☆ — Daniel , Apr 2019

It’s quite mysterious compare to other trails. Once you walk in, it’s like walk in to a fairy garden. But it got a little scary cuz no one’s there and it’s so big. I see it as a power of nature, making you awe. I suggest bringing some bear spray or some protection just in case. Also need to wear hiking boots.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
