Confirmed from Tubbs Hill Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Tubbs Hill Trailhead

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (30 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 7 mentions

“Beautiful spring morning, awesome trees, saw some elk (or mule deer?”

We started our hike from Sanders beach and took the main trail loop. Spectacular views and lots of options to hike down to the water front. A must do 2 mile hike for everyone including kids.

★★★★★ — Rahul , Feb 2024

Various levels of hiking/ trails available. I would not recommend strollers. Lots of roots and rocks, but well marked and maintained trails. Bird watching year round. Parking tends to be limited.

★★★★★ — Ashley , Feb 2026

Tubbs Hill park trail system is a nice easy to moderate hike. Lots of options of different difficulties with elevation changes and terrain. Stunning views of the lake and marinas. Nice quiet little swimming holes that you otherwise wouldn’t make it to.

★★★★★ — Nate , May 2026

This is a great place for all ages. The trail can be easy or more challenging (not hard), depending which trail you choose. The water is awesome for swimming and cliff jumping but not usually easy to get to as the shoreline is rocky and steap. Worth the scramble if you’re physically able.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
