Confirmed from Turnipseed Nature Preserve - Hunt Valley Trail Entrance's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

“easy walking, lots of nature.”

Found this trail when I searched for 'quieter' trails to go on, and it did not disappoint. We did all the trails except the hidden boulder one because we were with some folks who were limited in the amount of time they could walk. We will return to check it out, though, because we loved the trails we were on.

This is a very peaceful park. I enjoy nature and looking for wildlife and birds. The boulders are fun to climb and I enjoy sitting on them while I’m enjoying the view of the pond. I usually have a picnic at the end of my walk. I love viewing the changes in the landscape through the seasons.

Very clean trails. Quiet and only saw 1 other family the whole time we walked. Great spot to walk your dog or to get some fresh air there was plenty of shade!

★★★★★ — Ashley , May 2022

A lovely place to hike while clearing your mind. One of my favorite trails in the area. BUT the gates are locked every other day which really sucks

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
