Confirmed from Upper Javelina Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Upper Javelina Trailhead
This morning's hike on the Upper and Lower Javalina trails, finishing up on the Hotel Spur trail, was absolutely wonderful. The trails offer a great balance of challenge and great scenery.
Lovely hike! They should call it lower Javelina trail head because a Javelina jumped out from behind a saguaro and tried to bite off my prickly pears if you know what I mean 😂
The Upper Javalina trail offers great views of mountains and cactuses. It’s a short trail that most novice hikers could complete.
My 2nd time to do this hike and each time I push myself. I cant wait for the next one and will go further 😊
