Confirmed from Upper Sandusky Reservoir #1's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Upper Sandusky Reservoir #1
“We brought our dogs to the end of the boat ramp and let them cool down and drink some fresh clean water before we headed back.”
“Very beautiful lake (resevoir) that has a paved walking path and gravel road that connects to another resevoir and park.”
I stopped by here for a trail run, and was not disappointed. I had a choice of either a paved Greenway trail, or a gravel road. Not the greatest distance, only about three and a half or so miles around just the reservoirs so if you're looking for greater distance you'll just have to do it again or leave the reservoir…
Nice place. Had no idea it existed. Really nice trail to walk around the reservoir. They have bathrooms. You can fish here. It was a nice surprise find.
We walked here from a trail connected to Harrison Smith Park and one other. It was a good walk with plenty of beautiful, healthy trees and wildflowers along the way. The resevoir has a boat ramp and a small dock right near the main parking area.
Beautiful reservoir with a launch spot for kayaks and a couple docks to sit on. Restroom is clean. Paths around the reservoir are kept in good condition which connects to the other reservoir and the park. Disc golf also present near the reservoir.
