We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Valido Trail yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Valido Trail
“The view from the top is absolutely stunning and breathtaking.”
Sunday morning hike on the short but sweet Valido Trail to Aliso Peak in Laguna Beach. It’s not a long hike but it is uphill for most of it so it does offer some good cardio. The canyon is still lush and green from all of the winter rains. The wild flowers are still abundant, and the creek is still trickling.
We discovered this trail in Laguna Beach, and it offers a unique experience. The trail begins in a residential area, and there are no signs or designated parking spots, so you’ll need to find parking on the nearby neighborhood streets.
Nice and easy hike in Laguna with a great view at the top. It has an incline to get to the top, but the isn’t too long so you won’t be exhausted after. Definitely one I like to do if I don’t have a lot of time and want to get into nature. Another good thing is you can bring dogs on this trail so they can cruise along.
Nice peak. Super short hike if you take this trail. I recommend going to Aliso peak. You make a eft at the top of the trail then make a right at the fork.

“This is coming from an overweight smoker, this short 1 mile rt hike was hard lol it is marked as "difficult", which the terrain is not bad but it's the incline that gets you.”
