Confirmed from Vasa Pathway's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Vasa Pathway
This place is near my house. There are lots of trails that connect to this trailhead. Most of the trails are very well-groomed and well-kept. They also have a heated bathroom slash dressing area for the winter but it's also open in the summer.
Wonderful place. We managed to hit it in the middle of a snowfall and it was magical back in the woods. We stayed in the hiking trail and didn't venture out into the ski areas. The trails are groomed for xc skiing and we saw several skiers. We ran into one of the groomers and he was very helpful.
Beautiful spot. As a novice skier, I would have liked a bit more detail about the skill levels needed for each of the trails...but one can always have a nice walk in the woods. And there are stretches of relatively flat groomed trails at either side of the parking lot.

The practical stuff
- AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
- SurfaceNatural surface — easiest on the joints and the most fun, but expect roots, rocks and mud after rain
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
