Confirmed from Veterans Memorial Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Peaceful park featuring a bandshell, disc golf, playground and veteran memorials.
What runners say about Veterans Memorial Park
“Beautiful & clean, with flag disposal box.”
“Beautiful memorial, the Parks and Recreation group did an awesome job with this.”
“Great peaceful park with some cool landmarks, views, amazing park to meet new people in the community or have family day to enjoy being outside without leaving town”
Very large park with walking path that can connect to Rocky Butte Park across the street as well. The recently built memorial is a calming space with large tributes to some great quotes from American history as well as honoring veterans of America's wars.
There is a great frisbee golf course here with 12 baskets. During the summer there are free concerts held at the bandshell in the park. The veterans memorial is very nice and a peaceful place to reflect. The large lawns are also good for running with dogs or playing sports.
Great place to run, walk, being the kids. There's actually two parks to play at for the kids. There's walking paths. What a great place to honor our veterans. Thanks to all who serve(d)
Not a lot of shade in summers. Most equipment like benches have been redone recently and are in good shape.
