Confirmed from Veterans Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Popular lakefront park featuring an outdoor pool, ice arena, mini-golf course & community events.

What runners say about Veterans Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (1,034 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

I spend so much time here. I run around the lakes much of the time and bring my son to the playground. Some of the things they have are; surreys to ride on, food stop, mini golf, volleyball area with sand, gazebo, dock, and a covered seating area people use for events. The ice arena is really awesome as well.

Very nice and well kept. Went for a few walks on the trails with family and took many photos. I have a little sister and she always enjoys running around the playground. We like to eat lunch there too!

★★★★★ — Abigail , May 2019

Great place to walk! Disappointed that non-native invasive plants ie: Buckthorn & Purple Loosestrife are spreading there:(

★★★★☆ — Kandy , Aug 2021

Very nice park with plenty of green space, trails, and wildlife, as well as mini golf, a playground, and nice lake areas. We had a fun afternoon here, my mom, myself, and my young 8 year old cousin, playing mini golf, and riding a rented 2 seater quad-cycle!

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
