Confirmed from Viaduct Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Tucked away in the middle of every where this beautiful place is most definitely something to see!!! My wife and I we here today 9/03/23 for about an hour and a half!!! Just the history alone is amazing and then you add the beautiful river just to discover these 4 amazing waterfalls!!!

The driveway to get to the parking lot has a curb you have to drive over, so angle your car if it sits low. There is a port-a-pot in the parking lot. The walk to the view of the Great Falls of Tinkers Creek is less than a mile & it's worth it.

Nice, quiet park. It is not set as a modern picnic park. The train track is at the highest point and the waterfall is at the lowest point. It is a short walking park, with hills involving up and down walking. There are also stairs, however they are not necessary unless you choose. Photography is common for couples.

Hey everyone, I recently took some time to explore Tinker Creek, including both the play area and the creek itself. I can genuinely say that it was such a serene experience. The hike to the water was gentle and lovely, allowing me to fully appreciate the tranquility of the surroundings.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
  • Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
