Confirmed from Vickery Creek Park Trail Entrance's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Nature park featuring hiking trails and a waterfall. Historical signposts and a mill can also be found here.
What runners say about Vickery Creek Park Trail Entrance
“Very picturesque park with lots of great spots for photography.”
Beautiful place to explore! The trails are easy to intermediate, and there are markers throughout. The waterfall was a nice reward for the walk. You can [carefully] pick your way down and take a break/take photos. The mill buildings are very pretty, too.
Great nature trails, historical sign posts, ample parking. I came hoping to walk the trails with my jogging stroller. That was a no go. There are about 20 steps, followed by a steep incline filled with rocks and roots. I got up all that and the uneven trail continued with roots and rocks, so I turned back.
This is a pretty solid hiking trail. It isn't crazy difficult, but it does have its occasional (fun) challenges. Great sights!
Beautiful, old mill. Pretty Covered Bridge favored by a lot of photographers. Paths on the South side of the river are very rustic, but there are a lot of little signs to keep you from straying too far off the somewhat beaten path. Path on the North side is flat and wide, but it's short.

Plan your run at Vickery Creek Park Trail Entrance
The practical stuff
- AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
- SurfaceNatural surface — easiest on the joints and the most fun, but expect roots, rocks and mud after rain
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
