Confirmed from Vicksburg Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Nature preserve with a 4-mi. trail for walking, biking, and disc golf, as well as wildlife sightings.
What runners say about Vicksburg Trail
“It's paved, so not much of a trail, but it's quite beautiful and flat, great for walking, jogging, and perfect for strollers.”
I saw this cool looking trail last week when I had to go to Vicksburg, but I didn’t have time to stop so I knew I would return. The Vicksburg Trailway runs for nearly 2 miles on a former railroad corridor.
Love this trail!! Love to see the wildlife and it feels like you are away from busy life!!!
A quiet four mile round trip through tall trees and alongside a farm field. Vicksburg will be expanding the trail, but even now it’s a nice hike with just enough people along the way to feel comfortable.
Nice paved straight 2.5 mile trail. Mostly covered in shadows , good for kids, biking , walking. Parking is at Vicksburg historic village.
Trail conditions & character
“The paved trail is surrounded by dense woodlands and wetland areas for all but the southernmost stretch, where the corridor emerges into the downtown area of Vicksburg.”
“This trail is dog friendly on leash, kid friendly and also hosts bicyclists and other non motorized activity so share the path accordingly.”
