Confirmed from Virginia Corridor Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Virginia Corridor Trailhead
“Lots of shade, unless you're doing the trail at high noon.”
Amazing place to walk, bike or run. Plenty of parking, well maintained and beautiful to traverse. Lots of shade, unless you're doing the trail at high noon... Trees on either side cast plenty of shade. Every street crossing has signage and crosswalks.
This is a paved 5.4-mile trail (out and back) that used to be a railroad track. It's essentially flat except for one bridge over the road. There are a number of smaller road crossings with crosswalks and signals. Though it goes through town, it's peaceful with some separation from the neighborhoods that surround it.
One of the best trails in the city of Modesto. About five miles long round trip, perfect for people who are starting to walk and run in order to improve their personal health.
If you are looking for a place to go for a walk, this is the spot you want to check out. This trail is easily the biggest in Modesto with beautiful greenery along the way. Their is also a little free library and a Geocache on the trail if you are interested in those.
