Confirmed from Vista Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

This was a beautiful relatively small park. Nice little walking path with benches placed fairly evenly around. Not a lot of parking but it did have restrooms, picnic tables, a playground and a few barbecue grills.

A beautiful park, although very small. There are only about ten parking spaces. There is a small playground for children, very nice. A sidewalk loops around most of the park, but it is not long enough for running. On one end there's a very nice view of the river nearby that extends out towards the ocean state beach.

Vista park is awesome park with a great view of the Huntington beach. There's a gang of squirrels around all over the place. Pretty neat to see them running around getting close to you. This is a good place for a quick picnic better on the weekdays. Weekends are moderately full bit you should be good.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🏞️ Scenic views 16 mentions

  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
