Confirmed from Vollmer Road Woods' own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Vollmer Road Woods
About 3.5 mile loop. Nice easy trail with little incline. Depending on the day, you can see a lot of deer
I love the peace of mind that you have while you’re walking around the trail. I really enjoy it. I drive from the city to come here to walk here as high as gas is, but I love it!
There is about a three-mile-long loop trail around the forest preserve. There is also a picnic area at the South entrance to the forest preserve.
