We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Community Park yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Public park with a large grassy field & simple facilities, including a shelter & bathrooms.
What runners say about Community Park
“Well maintained family park where you can run or walk on the trail with others who are maintaining social distance.”
Great park!!! I’ve been going here for years to walk the trail. It’s safe & exercise friendly! I went around the park & picked up some garbage & put it in its rightful place.
Great spot to get a nice walk in. If you have a dog, it's pretty popular to bring them here and there are ways stations all over. Plenty of space and it is pretty safe and clean. The only bad part is one of the parking lots where there's still a flooding issue.
I use the walking path here for jogging. I feel safer here since it's open to street traffic on 175th and there are usually people on the path walking, running or biking. It gets pretty dark at night though and for whatever reason they don't turn on all of the lights in this area.
Wow great area for a walk or run awesome scenario for a family gathering or reunion although this is a public park you may need to check with the park district just to make sure it its not and event going on overall beautiful experience 😉
Trail conditions & character
“I've loved the park for many years but I wish they would have a separate dog trail or dog walking at specific times of day.”
“I wonder if it would be an option to add a water fountain or two.”
