Confirmed from Waldenburg Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park featuring playgrounds and basketball courts, plus walking trails, paths and bridges.
What runners say about Waldenburg Park
“There are always staff stopping by to be sure the park and bathrooms are clean and tidy.”
“March 20, 2021 - what a beautiful day and a lot of people came out.”
What a great spot! Bridges, trails, a great playground with a padded surface underneath! Well-maintained. Clean restrooms, within steps from the playground! The atmosphere is very pleasant. I was there, with my 7 year-old granddaughter. She loved it! We were there for two-plus hours! Very nice vibe.
Hidden forest right in the middle of civilization. Most people driving by just think its a playground, so the nature trails go underused. Yeah there is a playground and bathrooms, but there is some decently dense woods back there. Everything is paved and handicapped accessible.
June 2022 - I dont come here with the family that much but my 3 daughters love this park. They are 4, 6 and 9. I noticed they are adding in a big swing set. My one daughter is pumped about it. We didn't go to far on a walk but wasn't bad. In the front they have a spot to play cornhole or horse shoe.
First time walking this trail. I thought it was just a playground. Nice paved trail with 2 bridges. Will have to go a few times around to get a mile in. Will be back.

“Fun playground and nice walking path but parking can be challenging with how busy it gets.”
“Went to take my dog out and it's nice as always but what got me was the dog poop, even some by the poop-bag and garbage can!”

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
