We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Walter E. Luedeke Park yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park with a playground and picnic tables, plus a lake.
What runners say about Walter E. Luedeke Park
“No one from the house ever comes out to control the barking dogs, or clean up after them.”
This is a pretty great, little park! * Good playground * Splash/Spray Park (in summer) * CLEAN RESTROOMS!! * Covered picnic area * Few benches & water fountains * Parking lot (maybe 10-15 spots) * The SHORT walking trail leads to an awesome pond with fountain, in the far back! Two benches, at the end, facing the pond.
I come here pretty often I love the view and just sitting on the hill praising God spending time with the Lord 🥳🤍
Nice lake, but beware of the water moccasins (cotton mouth snakes near the bank). The playground is relatively safe, but it could use a gate between the kids and the nuts on the street driving and walking.
Fun park for kids and adults. Trail to walk/run and kids love the water area.
Trail conditions & character
“Have issues with the house directly behind the water pad area, as they let their dogs use the park as their own personal bathroom.”
