Confirmed from Walter Woods Conservation Area's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Relaxed, tree-dappled place with paved trails, a small pond and other water features, plus picnic spots.
What runners say about Walter Woods Conservation Area
“There are porta potties which mostly clean every time we've went to walk there.”
“Went on a walk there with my mom and was full of nature saw a deer took a beautiful photo very nice hopefully it opens back up soon”
“Small hiking area but the paths are paved and lots of trees make it shady.”
“He absolutely loved how peaceful and beautiful our walk was, even in winter.”
We visited in the winter but found it an interesting and scenic place even then. We hiked one of the trails and found a couple of small lakes. The woods are full of autumn olive, which looks kind of pretty but is unfortunately an invasive species.
I've been here before but this last time I was able to take my 15 yo with me. He absolutely loved how peaceful and beautiful our walk was, even in winter. 10/10 I HIGHLY recommend.
Fantastic place to walk around and connect with nature. There’s a ton of native flora and fauna on the property. There’s no bathroom unless you happen to catch them with a porta potty up or the learning center unlocked. One of my favorite places!
My husband and I had a wonderful time walking on a paved pathway. Very nice, either short or long walk (depends on which direction you go) Take some bug spray and check for ticks when you leave.
