Confirmed from Walton Scrub Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Wooded, sandy hiking path along a river with some shade.
What runners say about Walton Scrub Preserve
“Took my fiance and my dog through here today, the sand was a bit hot for my dog but plenty of shady areas to catch the wind and take a breather.”
It's got nice views, and the walking trail is longer than I would have thought it would be. It's got flavor. Basically the Eastern side of savannas park, on the other side of the train tracks. Overall, I enjoyed it, and I do plan on going back.
This nature trails is filled with winding paths which make it a really fun little trail. It comes in and out of pockets of shades and its really sandy. Make sure you prepare for both.
Very gorgeous trail! Seems to not be much traffic due to the occasion spiders web across the trail. Would not suggest bring a dog due to the frequent trail like lining prickly pear. Be mindful of sunning snakes, although the ones I encountered were all non-venomous.
Really nice walking trail. Took us about 40 minutes to complete it. Easy pathway , not strenuous at all.
