Confirmed from Ward Creek Trail Head's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Ward Creek Trail Head
“There was not a view at all along the trail, although it was quite an unique trial on the east Bay Area for its being mostly shaded.”
Very steep and challenging out and back hike. We went in about 1.7 mi and turned around. We spotted an old multi car wreck. How many cars do you see?
There was not a view at all along the trail, although it was quite an unique trial on the east Bay Area for its being mostly shaded. The upper part of the trail in a loop was easy to walk, but the lower part to memorial park was pretty winding and poorly maintained.
Decent trail for biking, albeit steep inclines when traveling eastbound. Narrow single track can be difficult to traverse at times. Usually not very busy
I enjoyed the trail it's paved good bit of hills and break points fairly shaded, mile marked trail(1.88) can be difficult to find parking, dog friendly
