Confirmed from Washington Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Washington Park
“A few clean picnic tables are available and during the summer, entertainment is provided by crazy kids playing in the Waterpark and the occasional dog playing in the ample field.”
“Beautiful park with playground, tree-shaded picnic tables, ample room, and a water park.”
“Has a fun splash pad for kids of all ages to play at along with a playground and a couple soccer fields.”
First time at this park small is the only issue that I have. Slides are somewhat steep for small children. The scenery is well taken care of my son had fun running around the fields.
Lots of squirrels to watch, a decent playground for kids. Only downside is one of the swings had a jagged metal spot where the chain attaches and there's not much toddler friendly equipment unless they're very good climbers and steady walkers.
This park has a great water play area and I love to watch "the kids" play on warm days!...nice playground set too. Nice little path circling around most of the perimeter of the park for walking.Caution...this is not a place to "hang out" as it gets dark in the evenings and never leave your children unattended here..
Great little park... it has a water feature which is great for kids during warmer months... and plenty room to walk the dogs. Only problem is a few habitual off leash dogs... and only because my dogs have had problems with off leash dogs (no owner control/recall).
