Confirmed from Waveny Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
250-acre city park featuring indoor & outdoor sports courts, a pool, plus a performing arts center.

“A stunning park right off the Merritt with tons of space, numerous gardens, very dog friendly, and a great place to hang out on a warm day.”
“It has a dog park, great place for running, doing a picnic or take a beautiful and relaxing walk.”
“Beautiful, quiet, big lush park with a large castle, playground, and a pond as well as woods and nice paths to walk your dog.”
This is an interesting place. We don't normally go out to places that have beautiful buildings, as we really prefer the woods, but this was an interesting place. The buildings were both modern and old fashion at the same time. This seems like a place that could transport you back in time to the Victorian Era.
Very beautiful park, great sledding in the winter, great for walks, great variety in the scenery. The greenhouse/canopy/mansion area is just beautiful, very well maintained, the variety in the flora is beautiful.
Beautiful main building, lush green fields ,parks etc.Little kids love to run after the frogs and tortoises in a small pond. One small covered garden adding to the beauty and is a heaven for a photo session for newly weds. Very peaceful place and one will love to sit in the shadow of a big tree for hours.
Calm, serene, lots of open space to run around, play soccer, frisbee, run with your pets or fly a drone! Well maintained tracks, pool, tennis and soccer fields await you. If you are in no mood for sports, take a long stroll around and sit by the pretty natural pond to watch beautiful sunsets.

The practical stuff

- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
