Confirmed from Waverly Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Large wooded park featuring winding trails, a playground, a lake and a pond for fishing.
What runners say about Waverly Park
“There are grill stations, some of which are clean and appear to have been renewed or cleaned.”
“I almost hate to post a review because I want this place to stay as beautiful as it is and not get overcrowded, but it’s too good not to share.”
“It's a peaceful lake with plenty if space to fish from the bank surrounding the lake.”
I almost hate to post a review because I want this place to stay as beautiful as it is and not get overcrowded, but it’s too good not to share. Went with my hubby for a walk. We checked out the dog park while we were there in case we wanted to return with our pups and another time. We took the twisting bends loop.
I come here to fish and just enjoy the outdoors. It's a peaceful lake with plenty if space to fish from the bank surrounding the lake. It's fairly clean and has bathrooms and a playground for kids. There looks to be some hiking trails also.
Have mostly spent my time here at the dog park. Usually the only people there but we do run into other dogs from time to time. They have a two gate system to get in to help lessen the risk of them getting out without you. The little lake is beautiful and there are always people fishing or walking.
Great place for a leisurely walk around the lake or a hike of several miles. The park is clean and well maintained
Trail conditions & character
“It has many of trails for all walking ages, BarBQ grill, gated dog park, duck and geese families, plenty of sitting areas.”

“Went to the bathroom last time I was there (in between the park and the lake) and it was a bit dirty but that's understandable.”

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadrestrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
