Confirmed from Waynesboro Dog Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Fenced-in area where dogs can run freely and socialize, featuring water fountains and seating.
What runners say about Waynesboro Dog Park
“Everyone follows common courtesy when picking up after their dogs and it stays very clean.”
“Great place for dogs to run free inside two separate fenced in areas.”
Great place for dogs to run free inside two separate fenced in areas. I believe the fencing is about 4 feet high so we don't worry about our big dog jumping over the fence. Nice benches there to watch and enjoy nature. The dog water fountain is nice, when it is turned on.
We were dog sitting for some friends and took their dog their multiple times and he loved it there. He got to run and play with other dogs. The water fountain is set up that you can fill a bowl very easy. Everyone we have came across is so friendly.
Great big place for dogs to run!!! Great also because I am disabled and it is hard to walk down long paths to get to the park. You can literally park and take a few steps to the entrance!!
Perfect Waynesboro Little Mountain 🏔️ to climb with your puppies and children and grand children to run free and safely behind a 6 ft. Fence!

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfaceCrushed gravel — the rail-trail classic: softer than asphalt, still smooth enough for tempo work
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking, water — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
