It’s so freezing to walk in winter but it’s a good exercise to step on the snow. Not many people are coming and we don’t see wildlife this time.
Access to a bird sanctuary and boreal forest via level, wide trails. If you are into nature, this should be a priority. This can be a little hard to find. I parked next to the car museum and picked up the trail from the rear of the museum.
The hotel we stayed at was within walking distance of the trails and Creamer’s Dairy wildlife sanctuary. The trails were surrounded by trees and the path was easy to walk. Great signage, places to sit and the little lake provided such a serene view.
We enjoyed the Wander Lake Trail here which is about a 1.4 mile loop. It is really easy to access from behind the auto museum. It was a really beautiful and peaceful walk. So much so that we took a second loop, and then came back again a couple of days later. There's great informational signs along the way.
