Confirmed from Weleetka Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Paved trail featuring a wooden bridge and an alternate path for dog-walkers.
What runners say about Weleetka Trail
“Always clean and beautiful.”
“Cement sidewalk but also leads to dirt paths So Beautiful”
Such a Great trip that is away from the road!!! Cement sidewalk but also leads to dirt paths So Beautiful
Nice little trail along the creek. Wish though, they would have connected all the small trails and made one big one.
A very expensive looking paved trail into the primordial jungle along a river. You can imagine yourself in the Amazon. The trail itself just ends in the middle of nowhere, apparently unfinished. In May, parts the trail were under 6 inches of water. Not well designed, but a nice getaway if you’re traveling I 75
Great “hiking” trail for kids, dogs, strollers, and scooters or bikes. Paved trail and wooden bridge for some sections. Railings to keep kids safe over water surfaces. Can make this educational with nature identification signs periodically spread around for the trees.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
