Nice trail, take a photo of the map at the end of the asphalt before you start the trail. Bring water, watch your step, small parking at washam and shearer
We usually walk on the South Prong Rocky River Greenway nearby our subdivision. We changed it up last evening by driving to Shearer Road & walked over to the Greenway entrance. We actually walked it all the way down to where you can see what I believe is the country club at River Run.
Even on a cold rainy day, I find it relaxing and love the natural trail with the structure of the landscape and birds.
2025.10.26~07:10 i was the 2nd to arrive and parked at the W Branch Rocky River Greenway parking, 18150 Shearer Rd, Davidson, NC 28036. Was kinda chilly @mid_40's_F; I layered-up, then went for a ~7_miles walk (CCW Loop; Parking > the neighborhood > Parking. The neighborhood and the Greenway were nice and clean.
