Confirmed from West Guth Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🌳 shaded & cool 5 mentions

“Not much shade though on the disc course.”

We love this park. I go running & also we love to feed the ducks, other birds, and turtles some bread! Be careful for frisbee throwers though.

Nice place to entertain rambunctious kids. Be advised, the geese can be aggressive so watch kids closely. The pool is not open and you're better off going to a gas station or waiting until you get home to use the bathroom. Take GermX if you're going to be eating, and mosquito repellent if there's been rain.

A great place to enjoy the outdoors! Nice walking paths, great playground, and more. Looking forward to when the splash pad re-opens so I can take my toddler. There is a lack of covered seating area by the playground, but trees have been planted to remedy this. It will be perfect once the trees get taller.

Very clean and peaceful. Great for family. Several playground areas for kids, social distancing is not a problem. Has trails for walking/jogging/biking etc. Nice view of water/pond, has a huge party area with tables, smaller picnic table areas for family Bar-B-Q, restrooms and a community swimming pool.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
  • At the trailheadrestrooms — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
