Confirmed from West Hartford Reservoir's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

One of my favorite trail. They have a couple of trails and yellow or red line trail is my favorite. The yellow line trail is a short 2-mile trail whereas the red line loop trail is 3.47 mile

This place is great for hiking and bicycling also taking your dog here. They have a beautiful Reservoir right when you pull in and off to the left will be parking. They also have another Reservoir more towards the back that goes in a loop.

One of my favorite places to go for a hike. Peaceful, clean, and plenty of wildlife! Find the trails in the woods - they are much more interesting than the paved trails.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
