Confirmed from West Mountain Trails' own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about West Mountain Trails
Nice views at the top and on the path. More challenging hike compared to the average, but well worth it!
One of the most interesting hiking areas in Simsbury. It's possible to link Simsbury Land Trust trails and Mc Lean Refuge trails to make longer hikes. You will find waterfalls, big views along the ridges, hidden valleys, and big game is always nearby watching you!
Awesome hiking experience i would rate the trails in the intermediate difficulty, up hill terrain some muddy areas and some rocky over all really nice, black bears in the area 🐻 so be careful
This was a great and challenging hike. Lots of great rocks to climb and some nice overlooks. Was able to see Heublein in one spot.
