Confirmed from White Memorial - Beaver Pond Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Hiking area with a network of trails leading to 7 ponds, including Beaver Pond.

“So much green for December - small stands of soft pines, large groups of mountain laurel that must be beautiful in bloom.”
40 miles of trails and 4000 acres of forest and wetlands. Lots of picturesque scenery. These trails are beautiful. Bantam Lake and Bantam River ate both accessible by White Memorials Point Folly Marina and boat launch at 123 North Shore Rd in Litchfield.
One of my favorite hikes in White Memorial. The five Pond Trail with Beaver Pond is a classic in the area.
Real nice 3 1/2 mile walk in the woods. Dog friendly, uncrowded even on a Sunday. Ramps, Laurel and Trillium everywhere.
Great trails! Nice pond. Well marked. Good for MTN bikes too. Plz leash ur furry friends & happy trails & tails

The practical stuff
- AccessHours vary — hours are not posted for this trail, so check before an early or late run
- SurfaceCrushed gravel — the rail-trail classic: softer than asphalt, still smooth enough for tempo work
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
