Great place to visit right in Amarillo and when you don’t want to do the whole Palo Duro experience. The have a few hiking trails to try on as well as their nature center. There’s a fee of a few dollars to get in and to walk the trails.
We got a family plan after Palo Duro Canyon was doing online reservations only and selling out. It's nice that the center is at the edge of town so it's easy to get over for a quick jog or walk. The area is expansive enough so that even when busy you don't feel like there's a crowd.
Had a blast hiking the trails, make sure you wear bug spay lots of mosquitoes 🦟. Nice view of the bluffs from below and on top.
Hidden Gem hiking! It was a great experience! If you are looking for a place to experience nature this is the place for you!
