Confirmed from Wilderness Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park with hiking trails that are suitable for families with children.
What runners say about Wilderness Park
“It's very quiet and you can clear your mind”
A little too wild... You don't know where you walk, sometimes, and what lies in the grass. Beautiful walk but lots of spider webs in the trail.
Hike 1.5-mile trail with majestic oaks and Spanish moss. Launch kayak or boat from ramp on Buffalo Camp Bayou with view of Gulf Coast Bird Observatory across from park. To enter Wilderness Park, turn left immediately after bridge over Buffalo Camp Bayou. Plenty of parking.
