Confirmed from Wildlands Trust - Stewart/Person Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Wildlands Trust - Stewart/Person Preserve
“Splendid hiking place, so calm and peaceful with 3 lakes.”
Good short trail system lots of rocks and roots along the trail path. Saw some cute rocks that someone had made and left along the Trailway, made me start looking for them which was interesting.
Parking on Sylvia Place entrance is only big enough for about 2 cars/trucks, just be warned. Nice path, very rooty, so watch your step. We took our dogs and enjoyed a nice walk around the pond. Havent explored the other paths yet.
Scenic pond views with colonial era cellar hole and 1930's operational fish ladder. Walking trails can be narrow, steep and rooty.

“One part where you had to walk across thin concrete over running water, similar to a dam, I could get across but noticed dogs had a difficult time.”

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfaceMixed — more than one surface along the route, so check the segment you plan to run
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
