Confirmed from Windsor Community Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Water park featuring playgrounds, shelters and other facilities for kids and adults,.
What runners say about Windsor Community Park
“Really nice park, everything is in great condition and there's lots to do.”
It has a Tennis court, bathroom, shelter , 2 playgrounds and walking trails
Windsor Community Park (G-Maps lists it as Deforest) is definitely one of the better parks I have been to in the greater Dane County area. Or for this or that matter - in Wisconsin. It is located in a sweeping new development directly north of highway 19.
Nice open space. Playground. Splashpad. Bike path. Mini roadway to practice biking. Bike repair station and more! No trees for shade being a new park.
Best splash pad in the Madison area and the zip line is super fun! Plenty of space to run around and stay socially distanced!
Trail conditions & character
“There are bike roads for them to ride on, 2 playgrounds with unusual equipment, splash pad, 2 shelters, restrooms, and zip line.”
“Further, it is one of the best parks designed for people in wheelchairs, little kids on bikes or rollerblading in a July heat.”
