Confirmed from Wirth Lake Public Access' own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Hilly

Lakefront park popular for walks, fishing and picnics, plus volleyball courts.

“Small but family-friendly and somewhat rustic city beach.”

Wonderful hidden gem in the twin cities. We typically go to the more popular downtown lakes but decided to check this out today and we were not disappointed. Loved the trail around the worth lake and lots of opportunities to fish enjoy volleyball or just soak up the nature.

Wirth Park is one of the best features of North Minneapolis. Lakes and ponds and creeks... plenty if trails to get lost in. And lots of cool old growth trees.

★★★★★ — James , Sep 2020

Lots of trails, some steep ones in the wooded area. Easy trail around the lake.

★★★★★ — La , May 2021

Beautiful park featuring fishing docks, interesting trails, free parking and plenty of picnic tables. Sunset on the lake is particularly fetching when veiwed from a nearby hill. Large pines dot the landscape and there is a community garden nearby.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

⛰️ Hills / elevation 3 mentions

“There's a lot of hiking terrain and hilly trails above the lake and behind the Eloise Butler wild flower Meadows.”
