Confirmed from Wissahickon Creek Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Kid-friendly park offering 2 hiking trails along a creek with fishing spots.

“The trail was beautiful and clean, it was nice to actually be in nature and get some fresh air so close to the city.”
“This trail is a peaceful escape from the city, with lovely views of the creek and lots of green trees.”
The park never disappoints. Living in Philadelphia during all four seasons makes it always interesting to walk, run or even crawl through the trail system. The park has so many interesting places to go and features to see.
Best place to unwind in the city. Best access from public transit, walking and biking. Many access points to different parking locations if one is full. Hike 2 different trails (yellow or orange) that parallels the creek or on Forbidden drive which is wide and winds along the creek.
Love it there. I need to go more often. There are many different trails to take. Some are easy, and some are more difficult. We all need some nature in our lives.
Nice place for a family stroll, with adventure possible near various water features. Some signage present, but no trail maps we could see, so we stuck to main trails. Overall a great place to get away!
