Confirmed from Wohlfarths Pond's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Quaint park featuring a playground, a fishing pond and grills.
What runners say about Wohlfarths Pond
“A very pleasant spot in the city with a picturesque pond, with willow trees, foot bridge, benches, picnic tables, and pavilion.”
“It is a peaceful Oasis in the middle of the city.”
Nice little fishing pond for kids. They have swings, picnic area and little grills. The path goes all the way around the pond and is wheelchair accessible. Sometimes the ducks visit.
I have fond memories of going here with my Grandfather when I was growing up in the 80's. It was very run down and vandalized back then. Given the run down state of the city today, I was expecting that much with the park had changed. However, I was pleasantly surprised!
Great place to take a break from the rush of everyday life. Quiet, very pleasant. If you enjoy fishing and want to get away there's fish in the pond. Short drive there or if you live in the Johnstown/Gloversville area, it's a short walk.
Great little park, super clean. Seems there's a lot of fishing going on. If your looking to walk, this is perfect, all wide open and a nice circular paved way around the pond!
